Posted: August 5, 2011 at 10:39 PM

With only 4 races left in the 2011 season at Blackrock speedway Joey Rodbourn leads his division with the #12 Disabled American Veterans Chevrolet. "It's been a wild season,we have had some frustrating nights.but we have stayed consistent" said Joey It's not a shoe in by no means tonight's strong start and push toward the front ended on lap 6 when coming into turn 2 we lost the right front wheel when the rim broke , Joey was able to hold on without hitting anyone or anything and got it out of the way bringing out the yellow flag. "I am just happy that i did not cause a crash , not only for the fact i saved further damage to my car but i was right in the middle of some drivers that are fighting hard for points and position in the final weeks, I would have felt bad if their season would have ended because of me".

the 2011 and final Law Enforcement race is complete on an extremely HOT night. Sadly I think the weather was a determining factor of turnout in both the driver column as well as the fan base , but none so ever we got it done with some real good racing action. the total money will be counted , confirmed and donated to the Chapter 7 Disabled American Veterans. Thanks to everyone who has participated over the years in this fun event i has been a great run and good times.

The team started off what looked to be a great season when Joey started 4th and quickly found himself in second but with 4 laps to go the heated battle ended for first when the car suddenly dropped a cylinder . Joey then switched from speed to tactics and used the car to block as best as he could and salvaged a 3rd place finish. Here we go a long season ahead.
